There is a group of people in Hernando County working together on a "community grow-op" located just off State Road 41 and north of Spring Hill. The food is grown either in stacks hydroponically or in the ground soil/compost. No pesticides or chemicals are used on the plants. Expansion plans include a retail store in Brooksville.
