"A picture speaks for many seconds!"

The first thing you have to do is get the person you are trying to market to, to stop, and pay attention to ...well, anything, really. You have to experiment and see what works for the folks that you are marketing to.

For me, one of the things that work is pictures, like this one. This picture was taken in a wonderful town called Woodland Park in Colorado. The park in the foreground is called "Memorial Park" and was recently completed.

Next, you have to keep them around for a bit by offering something that might go with the image, like an explanation or description of the image.

In this case, I'd offer that the mountain in the background is called "Pikes Peak". It is also known as "America's Mountain" as from its top came the inspiration for the words to "America The Beautiful", penned by Katharine Lee Bates in 1893.

Upon reached the summit, on her burro(!), she commented about the view,

"...we stood at last on that Gate-of-Heaven summit…and gazed in wordless rapture over the far expanse of mountain ranges and the sea-like sweep of plain."

After her return to her room in the Antler's Hotel, in Colorado Springs, she remarked to friends that countries such as England had failed. Saying that

"...while they may have been "great", they had not been "good" and that "unless we are willing to crown our greatness with goodness, and our bounty with brotherhood, our beloved America may go the same way."

Great words, as true today, as they were then.

So, if you've come this far, I think I can get you to click this link right here and visit our website if you please. There I'll add some more to this article and demonstrate how you too can generate incoming traffic to your website.

Now you have their attention and they have clicked through to your website.(Thanks!!) So it's time for some substance. It's best to provide this pretty quick at this point if you please, as time is not your friend. They can click away just as fast as they got here.

You can use your description of the image to add keywords to your website, such as the name of the City you took the picture in. You can also mention the names of popular landmarks and points of interest in your area. Place names are things that potential buyers search for, so mentioning those Cities and areas on your website that are located in your market area often is a very good thing.

You can add links to the image description to actual MLS search results based on the linked words, such as "Woodland Park" when clicked presenting a list of residential homes for sale in Woodland Park, perhaps even those with a view of America's Mountain.

You can add interesting information about the picture, engaging your website visitor while also making you more appealing to them as a possible agent. You are down to earth and know lots of interesting things about your area. Obviously, you are great at what you do, because you know so much about your market area!

You see where I'm going here, I trust, website content can be easy to create with just a simple picture taken from your cell as you drive by.
