Keeping in touch is an excellent way to gain additional real estate business down the road. The trick, here, also, is to stand out from the crowd. So be different than the crowd. Send out Happy Thanksgiving from your Real estate agent cards. Maybe add a personal note inside the card about how thankful you are that you were able to find a home for the folks you are sending the card to. Or how about a Happy Halloween card with a recipe inside for best pumpkin pie.

In this day, getting a card in the postal mail is an event. It makes people excited as they are only used to getting bills in the mail, generally. So getting something besides a bill generates excitement. It's become a conversational item in the family. "You'll never guess who sent me a card today!" Folks will remember.

Keep a list of all the folks you interact with, daily. Get their name, physical address as well as their email address. Not just the folks that you show listings to. All the folks you know. Your lawn guy, your cable guy, the UPS guy, even that couple that you spent all day driving around while they fought with each other.

Sending greeting cards is one of the cheapest ways to market your business there is. You can buy them in bulk for not a lot of money. You can also design custom cards from various places around the internet. These can be great! You can add local images so that when the folks open them they see these local images and this reinforces that you are a local business. Many people prefer to deal with local business and individuals. So they may not realize it, but using images that they know and are familiar to them, will reinforce your local and social status.

Postage is also inexpensive and the post office delivers these right to the peoples' door. What more can you ask for from a marketing tactic? Some people say that it is also a good idea to write something on the outside of the envelope, a personal note of some sort, something to let them know that you took the time to make this card unique, that it is not a mass produced junk mail from a service. Things like; "Thankfulness inside!", "Boy you two really made my day!"," You ready to do it again?". This sort of personal touch will encourage them to open the card.

Sometimes you don't need a holiday or a special occasion to send a card. Just send a card. "Hey, you two were on my mind. I remember how much fun we had while trying to find you just the right place, and how happy you were when you found it! So I thought to send you a card just to let you know that it made me happy to help you find your home."

Greeting cards, delivered by the post office are an excellent and inexpensive way to keep in touch with those you meet and those you do business with. This is also the best way to keep your name and brand in front of those people that you wish to remember you.
